Why are 4K recordings important to medical imagery?

4K Ultra HD surgical camera systems represent state-of-the-art technology, providing the best possible image quality for more details and a wider color space during procedures.

With four times the picture resolution of HD, 4K recorders capture stunning detail with a greater sense of depth and better color distinctions – providing for a more accurate and superior view when documenting surgical procedures.

Never before have surgeons experienced the minute level of detail that allows them to see a clearer picture inside the body, providing distinction between tissue, blood vessels and other anatomy. 4K’s enhanced visual information gives surgeons an extra level of confidence and elevates post surgery review.

4K is quickly becoming the new standard in medical imaging.

To provide surgeons with the most crystal clear images and videos possible, we are offering the MVR ProMVR and the MVR Lite.

With 4K and other cutting-edge features, MediCapture is revolutionizing how we record images inside the body. The clarity and visual distinction medical teams experience will no doubt aid as an assistive evaluation tool post surgery, which ultimately translates into improved care for the patient.

What is 4K exactly?

4K Ultra HD represents state-of-the-art technology, providing the best possible image quality for more details and a wider color space.

4K is 4 times the resolution of HD or 1080p, so instead of 2 million pixels, you have 8 million pixels! A full HD 1080p image is 1080 rows high and 1920 columns wide.

A 4K image approximately doubles the numbers in both directions at 2160 rows high and 3840 columns wide, yielding approximately 4,000 horizontal pixels — which is why it is called “4K.”

With 4 times the amount of pixels, it’s able to display 4 times the level of detail of standard HD, providing precise detail never seen before in ORs or surgery centers.
