Alex Yurusov - General Manager, Engineering & Manufacturing

Alex is a pioneer in the field of software engineering. His love of early semi-conductor technology led to a seat in the Soviet Union’s first software engineering program, established at the Kiev Military Aviation Engineering University. There he successfully defended his forward-looking thesis on Artificial Intelligence and earned his Master’s in Electrical Engineering.

Following the breakup of the Soviet Union, Alex made his way to Taiwan where he founded Pentagon Technologies in 1996. The company designed over 45 video products for Panasonic, Sony, Toyota, Honda and General Motors Asia – and went on to design MediCapture’s first product, the USB100, which was also the world’s first solid-state medical video recorder. In 2008, MediCapture acquired Pentagon Technologies allowing the two companies to focus solely on medical imaging systems.

Early in his career, Alex served as a captain in the Soviet Army. He currently heads up MediCapture’s design and manufacturing operations in Taiwan where he lives with his wife and three children.
